Excited to announce that my play, Sisters, By Way of Grace, will be presented at the Women's Shabbat at the Germantown Jewish Centre on April 5th at 1:30PM. Commissioned by Theatre Ariel, this 10-minute play imagines a conversation between Miriam and Tziporrah that addresses the impact of race in the Bible and on early instances of feminism.
Philadelphia-based choreographer, actor, improviser and theater maker, Karen Getz will lead an interactive improv text study of the Haftorah during the Shabbat morning service, which will be followed by a luncheon theatre program featuring three plays: From the Narrow, Sisters, by Way of Grace and Hagar, the Stranger Calls Home. Adena Potok, Theatre Ariel's Board President, will guide the post performance discussion. The cast included Susan Moses, Miriam White, and Danielle Lenee.
I'm a playwright, dramaturg, and teaching artist. It is here where you'll find my queries and musings on life, theater and the world. My posts advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity in the American Theatre and updates on my own work. Please enjoy!
