Anna K

Synopsis
Anna K, an adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, is set in Paris during the 1920's, at a time when Black artists fled America to the city of love, lights, and opportunity. This bold, provocative, and lyrical adaptation follows Anna as she struggles to leave a loveless marriage, so that she might find love and achieve a successful career, only to face her painfully, tragic demise. It also follows Levin, a talented Black DADA artist, who leaves the racism of America behind after WWI in search of love, acceptance, and artistic recognition.
