Deep Belly Beautiful

Synopsis
Deep Belly Beautiful is a kind of fairy tale, more Brothers’ Grimm than Disney. Anna Lee steps forth from the pages to caution us, however enticingly, about what it is to love an artist. With her direct address, Anna Lee propels us into a world of love unrequited, alcoholism, codependency, and infidelity. She spares us nothing as her life and the lives of those around her become increasingly messy with incidents of jealousy, passion, and obsession that ultimately lead to murder and human consumption. The world of Deep Belly Beautiful is alluring and sinister. There are no rules; no moral codes. Nothing and no one is spared.
