The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Synopsis
Life in Kansas has been a bit boring for Dorothy and her little dog Toto. Until one day, a cyclone swoops in and takes them “over the rainbow” to the wonderful and magical land of Oz. With the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy sets off on the adventure of a lifetime down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. These new friends brave witches, flying monkeys, and a Haunted Forest all to meet the Wizard of Oz, who promises to make their dreams come true.

Character Descriptions
Dorothy – an adventurous and loving girl, who lives with her aunt and uncle on their farm.

Toto  – Dorothy's trustworthy and loving dog, a cairn terrier

Uncle Henry – Dorothy's uncle, Aunt Em’s husband, a farmer and homesteader, tired and worn.

Aunt Em – Dorothy’s aunt, Uncle Henry’s wife, a seamstress and homesteader, grumpy and worn.

Scarecrow ­– a thoughtful scarecrow, who wants very much to have a brain.

Tin Woodman – a lonely man made of tin, who desires to have a heart.

Cowardly Lion – a timid, but brave lion, who wishes for courage.

Locasta, Good Witch of the North – older and kind, welcomes Dorothy.

Glinda, Good Witch of the South - young and beautiful, helps Dorothy of return home.

Elphaba, Wicked Witch of the West – seeks revenge against Dorothy for the silver slippers.

Wizard of Oz - a balloonist from Nebraska, mistaken for a powerful sorcerer by inhabitants of Oz.

Guardian of the Gates – makes sure no one gets in to see Oz.

King of the Winged Monkeys – they are ruled by the owner of the Golden Cap.

Munchkins - greet Dorothy when she arrives in Oz.
